Radisson Red brand to enter Cebu via CLI

CEBU, Philippines — The Radisson Hotel Group formally announced the opening of its second property in Cebu by 2021 bringing in the Radisson Red brand.

Radisson Group Asia Pacific vice president for finance Scott Bryce was in Cebu Tuesday to sign a 10-year partnership agreement with Cebu Landmasters Inc., (CLI) for the opening of a 146-room hotel designed for the young generation and young-at-heart market.

The Radisson Red Cebu will be located at CLI's new mixed-use development called Astra Centre at A.S. Fortuna in Mandaue City.

Cebu's Radisson Red property joins other Radisson Red brands in the world present in Brussels, Minneapolis, Brazil, Cape Town, among others.

Radisson Red is an international chain of full service hotels for Radisson Hotels marketed at millennials operated by Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.

"Cebu is the perfect location to introduce Radisson Red to the Philippines. This is a dynamic, fast-paced urban center with a youthful vibe and positive outlook, and we look forward to welcoming guests at Radisson Red and introduce a new era of hospitality to the country," said Katerina Giannouka, Radisson Hotel Group Asia Pacific president.

All of the 146 guest rooms in Radisson Red in Cebu will feature bold designs and the latest smart technology, allowing guests to stream content from their phone to their TV. The hotel's minimum room size is 28 square meters allowing visitors plenty of space in which to unwind. Other features include 24-hour Red Face Gym and digital check-in portal via Radisson Red app.

The digital check-in feature allows guests to head straight to their room, and unlock the door using their smartphone, bypassing the reception.

Radisson Red is the second partnership clenched by CLI in the hospitality business. The first project is its partnership with Ascott International for to a service apartment accommodations also targeted to the younger breed.
