Grab delivery service gains ground in Cebu

Ehda M. Dagooc - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — A month after its official launch, GrabExpress gained considerable momentum in terms of booking demand in Cebu.

“We have been receiving several inquiries regarding logistics partnership from different local establishments in Cebu City and we hope to serve more delivery bookings especially in the coming holidays,” said Grab Philippines Country Manager Brian Cu said.

Businesses of varying sizes have started using GrabExpress to send their packages to any destination in the Queen City of the South, Cu reported.

GrabExpress is a service platform that matches demand and supply of accredited bikers and customers. It can be used to send documents, items, parcels, forgotten items, and food from one place to another.

GrabTaxi and GrabCar are similar in terms of use, but the latter only involves transport of passengers.

Grab for Work, on the other hand, provides consolidated statements for all business rides, letting one know where and when the employees are travelling. This also allows the employer to keep track of the company's cash flow and analyze the travel behavior of employees, enabling to set the right transportation policies for the business.

By introducing GrabExpress in Cebu, Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand transportation and mobile payments platform, offers a convenient and faster way for businesses to send items such as documents, parcels, gifts and other small packages without having to fall in line at delivery centers or pay for additional manpower resources.

All parcels accepted by GrabExpress are safe and insured. An added bonus is GrabExpress’ real-time tracking that allows users to monitor their items until it gets to its destination. (FREEMAN)
