LIST: Power interruptions in Metro Manila, nearby provinces from March 18 to 24

MANILA, Philippines — Several areas in Metro Manila and nearby provinces will experience power outages after the Manila Electric Company announced that it has scheduled interruptions from March 18 to 24.

Meralco released a list of scheduled power interruptions in its social media pages.

It said it would be conducting maintenance operations in some areas in Metro Manila including nearby provinces such as Laguna, Bulacan, Cavite and Rizal.

The electric firm will conduct line reconductoring works, reconstruct primary lines and install new facilities in some areas. It will also conduct preventive maintenance and testing works.

To prevent hazards, Meralco will also replace old poles.

Last week, a number of areas also experienced power outages due to maintenance operations.

Here’s a list of the scheduled power interruption in Metro Manila and nearby provinces:

March 18, 2019 (Monday)

Dasmariñas City, Imus and General Trias, Cavite – Between 12:01 a.m. and 12:05 a.m.; Between 6:01 a.m. and 6:05 a.m.

• Portion of Don Placido Campos Ave. from Goldenville I Subdivision to and including Barangays Malagasang II-F & G in Imus; Goldenville II Subdivision, Greensborough Subdivision, Dexterville Classic Subdivision, Dasmariñas Townsville Subdivision, Sunndale Homes at Sunrise Hills Subdivision in Barangay Sabang, Dasmariñas City.

• Mary Cris Complex in Bgy. Pasong Camachile 2, General Trias.

Reason:  Preventive maintenance at testing works inside Meralco – Abubot substation.

Ortigas Center, Pasig City – Between 11:30 p.m.(Monday) and 4 a.m. (Tuesday); Between 11:30 p.m. (Monday) and 4:30 a.m. (Tuesday)

• Portion of Poveda Street from ADB Avenue to and including St. Pedro Poveda College and Robinsons Equitable Tower.

• Portion of Sapphire Road from ADB Avenue to and including CDC Millenium Suites, Robinsons Cyberscape Alpha, Corinthian Executive Regency Condominium and Filinvest Workspaces (under construction).

Reason: Line reconductoring works in Sapphire Road sa Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

March 19, 2019 (Tuesday)

Tala, Caloocan City – Between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

• Along Mulawin Street from Makabud Street to Alibangbang Street including Kupang, Bignay and Anapla Streets in Amparo Subdivision

Reason: Line reconductoring works and upgrading of facilities along Mulawin Street in Amparo Subdivision, Tala, Caloocan City.

Diliman, Quezon City – Between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

• Portion of Gomburza Street from A. Mabini Street to and including Juan Luna, Aguinaldo and G. Apacible Streets.; and Pook Polaris in Barangay. U. P. Campus.

Reason: Installation of facilities in Pook Polaris, Barangay U. P. Campus, Diliman, Quezon City.

Biñan, Laguna – Between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
