It’s not often you get an opportunity to play golf, enjoy, take a crack at hole-in-one prizes and contribute to a worthy cause. That swinging chance comes your way on Monday, June 16, when Ang Ligaya Ng Panginoon (LNP), a family-based trans-parochial covenant community in Metro Manila, hosts a golf tournament to celebrate its 50th anniversary at the Alabang Country Club, Muntinlupa.

LNP is a mission-driven organization that’s obviously in it for the long haul. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be celebrating 50 years of service. LNP grew out of the vibrant charismatic renewal experience of the early 1970s and for five decades, persevered in bringing people into a personal relationship with the Lord, raising up Christ-centered servant leaders and actively engaging in pastoral, evangelistic and socio-civic outreach, especially among the poor and marginalized. The Ligaya Golden Jubilee Golf Cup chairman is Randy Ang and co-chairman is Norman Montaner, CEO of Solidforms Corp.

This milestone golf tournament will bring together friends, mission partners and golf lovers for a meaningful day of camaraderie, competition and cause-driven giving. Proceeds are earmarked to support LNP’s various mission works including evangelization, pastoral work, service to the poor and health care assistance.

Registration fee is P6,500 which covers green fee, breakfast, lunch, giveaways, raffle entry and golf cart sharing. There are sponsorship packages on the table in case golfers wish to make their participation more deeply immersed in LNP’s crusade. A platinum sponsorship is P200,000 for four player slots, booth space at the venue, logo on event materials and on-course signage and live acknowledgment during the program. A gold sponsorship is P100,000 for three player slots, booth space at the venue and logo on event materials and on-course signage. A silver sponsorship is P50,000 for two player slots, logo on event materials and booth space at the venue. A bronze sponsorship is P25,000 for one player slot, logo on event materials and booth space at the venue. A donor sponsorship is P10,000 with the name listed in the event program and mentioned in on-line recognition.

So far, the platinum sponsors are Meralco, Solidforms Corp., Golfcarts.PH and Autohub Group. The gold sponsors are DMCI Homes, Monde Nissin, NLEX, HelloMoney by Asia United Bank, SB Finance, Fireside, EliteAir Climate Control, Pinkhouse and Joy-Nostalg. Silver and bronze sponsors are filling up. Media partners are TV5, Philippine Star, Spin, Inquirer Golf, SEAG Network, SulitTV and TrueFM.

To make the Golf Cup even more enticing, organizers are putting up a Club Car-Tempo + and a Vespa S125 scooter as hole-in-one prizes. On the day of the event, registration will be from 5:30 to 7 a.m. then the ceremonial tee-off is at 7 a.m. and at 7:30 a.m., the shotgun start. Lunch and awarding will be from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Check out the Golf Cup website www.lnp50golfcup.com for registration and sponsorship forms. Here’s a final message from the organizers: “Join us in celebrating five decades of faith, fellowship and mission … and make every swing count for a cause.”
