Creamline brings down Galeries Tower

MANILA, Philippines — Creamline survived a stubborn Galeries Tower, 27-25, 26-28, 29-27, 25-19, to claim its third straight win in the PVL Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena.

American Erica Staunton spewed a match-high 29 points while Bernadeth Pons was import-like and unloaded 26 points as the Cool Smashers improved to 3-1.

The Highrisers fell to 0-4.

Earlier, Farm Fresh rode on another stellar performance of Colombian Yen Murillo as it routed Nxled, 25-16, 25-15, 25-17, yesterday to claim its first streak in the conference.

The power-spiking Murillo unloaded a 22-point barrage that she laced with 21 kills as the Foxies rolled to their second straight victory after starting the tournament with two losses in a row.

It came just several days after Murillo erupted for 29 hits in a 25-22, 35-37, 23-25, 25-20, 15-10 triumph over Galeries Tower.
