MANILA, Philippines — Meralco wheeled back on track in the PBA On Tour via a 96-88 romp over Converge last night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Allein Maliksi rifled in 16 to lead a balanced assault for the Bolts, who used a crucial 7-0 blast to seize command late in the fourth en route to the redemption win to their 93-100 loss to Phoenix a week ago.

Anjo Caram, getting the lead playmaking chores with Chris Newsome, Aaron Black and Chris Banchero still out, complemented Maliksi with his 15-point performance as Cliff Hodge (14-10) and Raymond Alamzan (11-14) submitted double-double numbers.

Bong Quinto scored 11 with six boards and five dimes while Alvin Pasaol netted 10 in helping Luigi Trillo’s squad to its second win in three starts.

The Bolts outscored the FiberXers in the fourth quarter, 26-18, to get it done after squandering an early 14-point spread.

“Nag-focus kami sa stops kasi kapag nakaka-stop kami, doon kami nakakakuha ng easy points sa transition,” said Caram.
