UPSEAA charity golf today at South Forbes

MANILA, Philippines — University of the Philippines School of Economics Alumni Association (UPSEAA) president Mian Alentajan announced the staging of a golf tournament in support of its scholarship program to be held today at the South Forbes Golf and Country Club in Silang, Cavite.

The tournament is held annually by UPSEAA to raise funds for its various projects.

UPSEAA currently supports more than 50 scholars and students at the UP School of Economics. The scholars receive monthly allowances of P5,000 each. Other students under its Data and Computer Program receive allowances for their data load while others availed of laptops which they can opt to purchase after their graduation.

Backing the event are South Forbes Golf and Country Club, former UPSEAA president Jeffrey Ng, Insular Life, Union Bank, UPSE Class of 1972, Oona Insurance, Wudi Realty, Pusameow Welfare and San Miguel Corp. Major sponsors are CleanTech Foundation, CleanTech Global Renewables, Bagong Henerasyon Partylist of Rep. Bernadette Herrera and Magsasaka Partylist of Rep. Robert Nazal.
