Kobe Paras parts ways with B2 team Altiri Chiba

MANILA, Philippines — Former UP standout Kobe Paras has left the nest of Japan B2 league side Altiri Chiba, the club announced on Friday.

Paras, who is in his second year of pro hoops in Japan, played 33 games for Altiri this season as they eyed promotion to Division 1. He posted norms of 5.3 points , 0.9 rebound and 1.0 assist per game.

In the club's statement, it was bared that the cancellation of Paras' contract was a "mutual agreement" between both parties.

"I want to say thank you to the Altiri Chiba fans, club sponsors, and all the loyal fans!I’m so grateful for the opportunity to represent such a beautiful club and city, Chiba," said Paras in a statement. 

"I’m also very happy that I got to meet a lot of amazing people in this team which include the team managers, my teammates, coaching staff, owner, GM, and head coach. Good luck with the rest of the season! Wishing you all more success!" he added.

Before moving to Chiba, Paras played for Division 1 side Niigata Albirex BB.

Altiri currently touts a 32-11 slate and is third in the B2 standings.
