Cavitex rips Pioneer for 3x3 plum

MANILA, Philippines — Cavitex rode on red-hot Dominick Fajardo to return to the top in Leg 4 of the PBA 3x3 Season 2 Third Conference via a 19-15 finals clincher over Pioneer Elastoseal yesterday at Robinsons Novaliches.

Fajardo exploded for 11 points on a near-flawless 8-of-9 shooting plus five rebounds, two assists and one block as the Braves snapped a dry spell since topping the sixth leg of the Second Conference.

Fajardo and teammates Jorey Napoles (four markers and eight boards), Tzaddy Rangel (two) and Bong Galanza (two) sent Cavitex back to the summit after disappointing finishes of third, fourth and sixth in the first three legs of the season-ending tournament.

“Pababa ang naging placing namin this conference kaya palagi ko sinasabi sa teammates ko, laruin lang natin, makukuha din natin. Eto, nakuha naman namin,” said Napoles.
