MANILA, Philippines — Creamline guns for its second straight championship in the pros as it clashes with semifinal tormentor King Whale of Taipei today in the Premier Volleyball League Invitational final at the MOA Arena.

The Cool Smashers fell to the Taiwanese club, 25-15, 17-25, 25-22, 25-26, 15-5, last Friday after they rested two starters – Jema Galanza and Jeannette Panaga – and spread minutes down to the last player.

Skipper Alyssa Valdez played just less than three sets after tweaking her left ankle late in the third set of the reigning Open Conference champion’s only defeat in the semis.

But Creamline coach Sherwin Meneses is expected to go full force against KWT in their one-game finale set at 5:30 p.m. with an eye on claiming their second straight title of the year.

Apart from Valdez, Galanza and Panaga, the Jonathan Ng-owned franchise, which will represent the country in the Asian Volleyball Confederation Cup set late this month in Pasig, will also field in leading MVP bet Tots Carlos, Jia de Guzman, Ced Domingo, Risa Sato, and Kyla Atienza.
