Saints score blowout, Stags trim Tigers

MANILA, Philippines — Adalem Construction-St. Clare blew away AMA Online, 84-50, for its second straight win in the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup yesterday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Saints, the NAASCU five-time champs, relied on a scorching 21-8 start and never looked back for a 2-1 card after losing to Wangs Basketball @26-Letran in the opener.

Ahron Estacio uncorked three triples and finished with 15 points while Edcel Rojas (13) and Bam Lopez (10) provided coverage in St. Clare’s follow-up win after smothering Centro Escolar U, 96-76, earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Apex Fuel-San Sebastian pulled off an 88-83 triumph over Builders Warehouse-Santo Tomas to barge into the win column. AMA (0-3) and Santo Tomas (0-2) remained winless.
