National poomsae championships set

MANILA, Philippines — About 1,500 taekwondo jins from over 50 teams vie in the Smart/MVP Sports Foundation National Taekwondo Poomsae Championships set this weekend at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

Only fully vaccinated players are allowed to participate in the competition set to start at 9 a.m. tomorrow.

Individual, pair, team and free style for colored and blackbelts are the events to be contested in the event supported by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) and Milo.

Early registrants are top poomsae squads from FEU, Ateneo, Xavier School, Meta Gym, Superbodies, UP Diliman, St. Paul of Parañaque, DPS and PNP.
