Lady Generals chalk up first win

MANILA, Philippines — Emilio Aguinaldo College pulled the rug from under Lyceum of the Philippines, 26-28, 25-15, 27-25, 25-17, yesterday to register its first win in NCAA Season 97 women’s volleyball competition at the Paco Arena.

Krizzia Perez displayed a spiking clinic and led all scorers with 24 points including 22 on kills as the Rodrigo Palmero-coached Lady Generals ended a five-game slump.

Skipper Catherine Almazan also connected crucial hits and wound up with 14 points.

In the other game, Jose Rizal U bested University of Perpetual Help, 25-19, 25-20, 20-25, 25-18, to improve to 3-3.
