Lady Blazers blow away Lady Cards
MANILA, Philippines — College of St. Benilde braced for its duel with vastly improved Mapua, anticipating a tough game.
It turned out to be one-sided.
Dishing out their best game of the season thus far, the Lady Blazers blew away the surprisingly listless Lady Cardinals, 25-17, 25-11, 25-12, yesterday to stay unshakeable at the helm in the NCAA Season 97 Volleyball at the Paco Arena.
Jade Gentapa and skipper Francis Mycah Go spearheaded the flogging by unloading 12 points apiece while Jhasmine Gayle Pascual scattered nine hits as CSB rolled to its fifth straight win.
“Did not expect anything, we just prepared for them,” said CSB coach Jerry Yee.
In the other game, Arellano U turned back Letran, 25-13, 21-25, 25-16, 25-20, to improve to 5-1. The Lady Knights dropped to 1-5.
