Lady Altas notch 2nd win

MANILA, Philippines — University of Perpetual Help waylaid Emilio Aguinaldo College, 25-21, 25-17, 25-7, yesterday to enhance its championship hopes in the 97th NCAA volleyball tournament at the Paco Arena.

Razel Aldea, Mary Rhose Dapol and Janine Padua took turns delivering the mightiest blows and finished with 12, 11 and 10 points, respectively, as the Lady Altas improved to 2-1.

It was the second straight victory for the Las Piñas-based spikers following a 26-24, 25-18, 25-19 win over the Letran Lady Knights Friday.

Perpetual needed that wake-up call following its stinging 25-23, 25-19, 25-16 defeat to Lyceum of the Philippines U on June 12.
