Saso advances with 5-under 66

MANILA, Philippines — Fil-Japanese Yuka Saso easily made the cut in the LPGA’s Dio Implant LA Open with a second-round five-under 66 but Bianca Pagdanganan crashed out after a 76 at the Wilshire Golf Club in Los Angeles.

Saso, who struggled with a 75 in the opening round, bounced back with six birdies against a lone bogey to bring her total to one-under 141. She stood six shots off the 135s of co-leaders Jin Young Ko of Korea (64) and Nasa Hataoka of Japan (68).
