Sotto, 36ers join preseason tourney

MANILA, Philippines — Kai Sotto gets a chance to warm up in the Australia National Basketball League (NBL) Blitz next month before plunging into his official pro debut in December.

Sotto and the Adelaide 36ers are among the six-team cast in the Blitz slated Nov. 14-28 in Tasmania as the NBL’s preseason appetizer before the opener on Dec. 3.

Adelaide will be joined by the Brisbane Bullets, New Zealand Breakers, Perth Wildcats, Cairns Taipans and NBL’s new team Tasmania JackJumpers.

The Blitz opener will be hosted by Tasmania at the MyState Bank Arena in Hobart with other games to follow in Launceston, Ulverstone and Kingborough.

Four other NBL teams led by defending champion Melbourne United will have their own set of preseason matches.
