Team Secret enters 1st League of Legends: Wild Rift global tourney
MANILA, Philippines – Although failing to claim the crown of top team in Southeast Asia, Team Secret has qualified for the 2021 Horizon Cup, Wild Rift's first global tournament.
It has been a long road to the final for Team Secret as they were relegated to the lower bracket after losing to Vietnam's SBTC Esports.
From shaky beginnings to SEA Championship Runner-ups, nothing to be ashamed of ????

But the loss did not hinder the Philippine team from finishing in the top two. Team Secret made quick work of Taiwan's ONE Team and Flash Wolves in the lower brackets.
The lower bracket finals seemed to be the end for the Philippine champions as Thailand's Buriram United Esports, which also eliminated the other Philippine bet FENNEL Adversity, took an early 2-0 lead. But Team Secret powered through and managed a reverse win of 3-2.
This set up a rematch with Vietnam's SBTC Esports and automatically booked Team Secret’s slot to the global tournament.
The grand finals of the SEA Championships had Team Secret pumped up when they quickly took the first game of the best-of-seven match.
Unfortunately, Vietnam's SBTC Esports, confident of having beaten Team Secret previously, took the succeeding four matches to win, 4-1.
The 2021 Horizon Cup will commence in November in Singapore.
