MANILA, Philippines — Bianca Pagdanganan bounced back with a two-under par 70 Friday to leapfrog into the Top 20 after two rounds of the Cambia Portland Classic at the Oregon Golf Club in West Linn, Oregon.

Pagdanganan, who limped with a 74 in round one, shot five birdies to counter three bogeys this time to get to even 144 for the tournament and soar 36 places to joint 20th.

After an opening 75, Dottie Ardina slightly improved with a 74 to make the cut on five-over 149.

Pagdanganan, a Tokyo Olympics veteran, stood eight strokes behind Korean world No. 2 Jin Young Ko, who vaulted into the lead with a 67 for 136.

Ardina, who shared 57th to 70th spot after 36 holes, trailed the leader by 13.

Ko seized a one-shot advantage over Scottish Gemma Dryburgh (69) and three over Spaniard Carlota Ciganda (71).

Teeing off from the back nine, Pagdanganan birdied Nos. 12, 14 and 18 while dropping a shot on 17. She bogeyed the third and fifth but recovered by birdying the fourth and seventh.
