MANILA, Philippines — Dwight Ramos turned in a hot shooting and all-around game to lead Gilas Pilipinas to a 90-63 demolition of Jordan’s Team B Wednesday night in the King Abdullah Cup in Amman, Jordan.

Ramos rifled in 21 points, all coming from beyond the arc, while dishing out six assists and completing five steals to anchor the Gilas young guns to the comprehensive win at the Prince Hamzah Hall.

Justine Baltazar, who had a perfect clip in the squad’s previous 77-62 disposal of Saudi Arabia, backed up Ramos with 13 spiked by three triples while Jordan Heading chipped in 11.

Carl Tamayo grabbed 10 rebounds in manning the fort for the Nationals, who totally dominated the battle of the boards, 45-30, and had 21 second-chance points.

Gilas opened the game with six unanswered points, got its first double-digit spread at 14-4, and kept its foot on the pedal all the way to the finish.

Amad Obeid (14) and Ibrahim Hamati (10) paced Jordan-B, which is playing as a guest team in the five-nation tournament.

In the other games, Egypt defeated Jordan’s Team A, 79-67, for a leading 2-0 card, while Tunisia improved to 1-1 at the expense of Saudi Arabia, 72-59.

Gilas, which lost its opener against Egypt (73-80), next faces Tunisia.
