MANILA, Philippines — Bianca Pagdanganan slowed down with a one-over 73 but it was enough to send her to weekend play in the LPGA Mediheal Championship yesterday in Daly City, California.

Pagdanganan, who opened her bid with a 71 and was tied at 14th after 18 holes, slid to joint 38th after carding nines of 37-36 in Round 2 at the Lake Merced Golf Club.

The long-hitting Filipina was even-par for the tournament and stood seven strokes behind new leader Danielle Kang of the US.

Kang fired a 66 to wrest a one-shot margin at seven-under against overnight leader Leona Maguire of Ireland (73) and Lauren Kim of the US (69).

The other Philippine bet, Dottie Ardina, missed the cut by one stroke.

Ardina shot an even-72 after her opening 77, which evetually fell short of the four-over cut.
