Santiago’s team falls short in V. League

MANILA, Philippines — Filipina import Jaja Santiago and Ageo Medics bested Okayama Seagulls, 17-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-20, to salvage a fifth-place finish in the 2020-2021 Japan V. League over the weekend at the Saitama Prefecture.

It was the seventh straight win for Santiago and company but still was not enough to carry the team to the Final Four with a 12-8 slate, settling behind JT Marvelous, Torray Arrows, NEC Red Rockets and Denso Airybees.
