MANILA, Philippines — Teddyvic Silva Melendres, former sports editor of the Philippine Daily Inquirer and two-term president of the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA), passed away on Christmas Day due to illness. He was 60.

Melendres, of Lipa, Batangas, is survived by his wife Maria Nelanie and sons Ted Andrei, Ted Leonid and Ted Sergei, and sisters Julie, Myrna, Emmie and Glacie.

Interment is still being finalized.
