MANILA, Philippines — Filipino cue artists were left facing a blank wall following the cancellation of the 2020 Predator World 10-Ball Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Featuring the world’s top 64 pool players, including top Pinoy bet Carlo Biado, the Wold Championship was supposed to kick off today at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino. But Predator, in partnership with CueSports International, called off the event yesterday amidst the worsening COVID-19 situation.

“As international travel concerns continue to mount, CueSports International and Predator Group announced the cancellation of this week’s World 10-Ball Championship at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas,” the organizers said.

“We thank our fans, players, staff and partners for their patience and support, and look forward to welcoming everyone back to Las Vegas for next year’s World 10-Ball Championship, March 8-12, 2021.”

Aside from Biado, current world No. 15, Johann Chua (No. 13), James Aranas (No. 31), Jeffrey Ignacio (No. 34) and Jeffrey de Luna (No. 53) were all set to represent the Philippines in the star-studded event.
