Team Sagupaan leads LGBA derby
MANILA, Philippines — Team Sagupaan shows the way as the 2020 LGBA Cocker of the Year series opening leg holds its 4-cock finals Friday at the Pasay City Cockpit.
Presented by the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA), Friday’s event backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000 offers more than P1 million in prizes.
Cockfight idol Patrick Antonio, coming from back-to-back championships in the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) derby, will compete with three pointers Arnold dela Cruz, Hector Magpantay and Ronnel Pasia.
Other three pointers are Percy Modomo, lawyer Jun Caparroso, Mel Lim, Nelson Uy/Dong Dhung, Boy Gamilla, Mayor Rommel Romano, Boy Tanyag and Jimmy Junsay/Dennis Reyes/Ed Ladores.
Jeffrey and Aylwyn Sy, also of Team Sagupaan, scored 2.5 points together with Raymond Velayo, Toto Gregore, Mamad Villarubio, RM Senor Vicente entry, Vic Bilangel and Jong Daed.
LGBA president Nick Crisostomo said the second leg, a 7-bullstag derby, is set March 9, 16 and 23.
