Injured Lillard says Suns' Booker could replace him in NBA All-Star game
MANILA, Philippines – The Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker may be seeing action in the 2020 NBA All-Star game after Portland's Damian Lillard got sidelined with injury.
Booker was considered to be one of the biggest snubs in this year's All-Star voting.
The 23-year-old is currently averaging 26.4 points per game on 49% shooting.
Lillard, who was supposed to play as a reserve on LeBron James' squad, suffered an injury in a road game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).
The Trail Blazers star left the game with 3:22 left in the final period with what appeared to be a right leg injury.
The Grizzlies eventually went on to beat the Blazers, 111-104.
Lillard then brought up Booker's name as a likely substitute for him in the annual NBA All-Star exhibition.
Dame mentioned Devin Booker as a possible replacement for him in the ASG.

With the All-Star game slated on Sunday (Monday, Manila time), it is unlikely that Lillard will be able to get back on his feet in time.
Apart from the All-Star game, Lillard was also supposed to compete in the 3-point shooting contest.
