MANILA, Philippines – After a five-year wait, the FIBA 3x3 World Tour will make a much-awaited return to the Philippines as the country has secured the right to host it from May 2-3 at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall in Mandaluyong City.

It will mark the third time that the Filipinos will have a chance to witness the world’s best and brightest after the country hosted two legs of the level 10 event in 2014 and 2015.

"Last year, 3x3 basketball once again entered the collective consciousness of the Filipino people. We had three conferences in our local league while also having two international tournaments here, namely the world's first-ever Super Quest and the Manila Challenger," said Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas league owner Mascariñas Tuesday.

"We needed to continue that momentum and what better way to do so than hosting a World Tour Masters," he added.

Among the world’s top ranked teams that are expected to play here are Liman, Novi Sad, Riga Ghetto and New York Harlem.

The country will be represented by a team composed of qualifiers from the 2020 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 President’s Cup scheduled to unfurl next month.

Mascarinas also bared plans of hosting a Super Quest level event late this year.
