Vaping device prohibited

Romina Cabrera - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Amid the nationwide crackdown on the public use of vape, Metro Manila’s top cop has advised spectators for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games that they will not be allowed entry into any event venues if they are in possession of any e-cigarette device.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas said that any vaping device is among the prohibited items for the SEAGames that starts end of next week.

Sinas said that while possession of these devices is not a crime, individuals with these items would not be allowed to watch any of the sporting events to avoid further disturbance.

“Ganun din ang gagawin, para hindi maistorbo ang guards, pagka may illegal na bagay hindi na papasukin sa may area na walang deposit. Pag hindi naman gumamit at dala lang, hindi naman sisitahin immediately,” he said in a briefing.
