Pacio retains strawweight belt vs Catalan in ONE: Masters of Fate

MANILA, Philippines — Joshua Pacio successfully defended his ONE strawweight world championship after submitting Rene Catalan in the second round in ONE: Masters of Fate Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Pacio's title defense was the perfect end to Team Lakay's 3-0 night in Manila.

Pacio and Catalan battled it out but it was the Baguio native that came out victorious in the Filipino vs Filipino battle.

Pacio caught Catalan's neck in a arm triangle choke, and it was only a matter of time before Catalan tapped out.

Team Lakay retains its sole ONE world championship belt after losing three this year.
