MANILA, Philippines — Defending champion Diliman College and University of Batangas kept their share of the lead by downing their respective rivals last Monday in the PG Flex Linoleum-UCBL at the Olivarez College gym in Parañaque City.

JR Bauzon starred in the Diliman Blue Dragons’ 72-66 win over the Olivarez College Sea Lions while the UB Brahmans thumped the National College of Business and Arts Wildcats, 107-83, for their third win in as many outings.

The 6-foot-4 Bauzon posted a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Blue Dragons handed the Sea Lions their second defeat in three games.

Seven UB players scored in double figures with Melvin Ricaña and Cameroonian center Kenne Yemeli scoring 20 points each, most of them coming in the third where they outscored the Wildcats, 30-12.

Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas barged into the win-column by trouncing Technological Institute of the Philippines, 90-69

Sophomore Sandee Diez came off the bench to produce 15 points, seven boards and two assists as the Dolphins snapped a two-game losing run.
