LPC derby champ known today
MANILA, Philippines — The champion of Las Piñas Coliseum’s 30th Anniversary 5-Stag Derby will be determined as the event’s grand finals unfold at 1 p.m. today, with more than 80 fights on tap.
So far, 11 participants lead the stagfest with two wins each and 23 others with one point. Twenty new gamefowl breeders will field straight five stags.
The prizes at stake: champion, P500,000; any four points, P280,000; handler, P50,000 and gaffer, P20,000.
Up next is the 3-stag elims of United Manila Cavite Gamefowl Breeders Association (UMCGBA) circuit derby on Oct. 9.
Coliseum manager Alex Tobias will host the annual Alexander 4-Stag Derby on Oct. 16. Stags banded by FIGBA Bakbakan and PFGB Digmaan will be accepted.
