Huge field to vie in Highlands Ladies Cup

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The leading golfing ladies from the country’s top clubs gear up for another fun but competitive duel as they slug it out for top honors in various divisions in the 14th Highlands Ladies Cup on Oct. 5 at Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club.

Guests and officials from the event’s chief backers will also grace the 18-hole event that has become one of the most keenly awaited tournaments in the ladies golfing calendar for its prestige, participation and prizes.

Registration is ongoing. Fee is pegged at P3,500 for members and P4,500 for non-members, inclusive of green fee, cart, lunch, giveaways and raffle stub. For details, call Midlands Golf Services at 0917-886-5226 (members) and Analaine Blas at 0966-713-5199 (non-members).

To accommodate the expected big number of entries, the organizing Tagaytay Highlands Ladies Chapter, headed by tournament co-chairs Dionne Cu and Connie Mamaril, opted for a shotgun start at 8 a.m. with around 200 players expected to see action.

The tournament also serves as a fund-raiser, with part of the proceeds going to the Sisters of Mary Boys & Girls Town Complex in Silang, Cavite as part of THLC’s social commitment.
