Creamline sweeps Petro Gazz in grudge match

MANILA, Philippines — The Creamline Cool Smashers made quick work of the Petro Gazz Angels, 25-19, 28-26, 25-20, in a rematch of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference Finals on Saturday.

Led by Alyssa Valdez and Michelle Gumabao, the Cool Smashers exacted revenge on their tormentors.

Celine Domingo and Jema Galanza also had good games for Creamline.

The Angels had a chance to tie the match at one set apiece in the second canto, but the Cool Smashers saved three set points and took the extended set, 28-26.

Middle blockers Jeanette Panaga and Cherry Nunag were bright spots for Petro Gazz in the loss.
