San Beda deals CSB 31-point beating
MANILA, Philippines — The San Beda Red Lions continued their dominance in the 95th NCAA men's seniors basketball tourney after clobbering the DLS-CSB Blazers, 88-57, at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Friday.
The Red Lions were dominant from the get-go and didn't look back all game long.
After the opening canto, San Beda had a double-digit lead, 20-9.
The same tempo continued on for the rest of the game with the Blazers unable to get back into the contest.
Calvin Oftana did wonders off the bench for the Red Lions, scoring 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting.
Justin Gutang and James Pasturan paced the Blazers with 10 points each in the losing effort.
The Lions thus stayed undefeated with an 8-0 record. Meanwhile, CSB absorbed its second loss in a row after its first five matches of the season.
