MANILA, Philippines — Donovan Mitchell called for an end to gun violence in Team USA's latest World Cup tuneup game against Australia on Thursday.

The Utah Jazz guard had the words "End Gun Violence" on his shoes during the exhibition game at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

"#ElPasoStrong" and "#DaytonStrong" were also written on the baller's kicks, referencing the recent shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas, respectively.

Team USA blasted the Boomers 102-86 with Mitchell scoring 13 points.

Earlier this month, US Major League Soccer player Alejandro Bedoya also called for an end to gun violence after celebrating a goal for the Philadelphia Union.
