Finals MVP Romeo learns unselfish play with San Miguel
MANILA, Philippines — Joining San Miguel gave Terrence Romeo two consecutive championships and a Finals MVP plum.
But perhaps more importantly, the Beermen gave him a chance to change perspectives.
"Para sa akin, 'pag iniisip mo na kung paano kayo mananalo mas nakakalimutan mo na kailangan ikaw lagi yung bida," Romeo said after their Game Six win over the TNT KaTropa.
Romeo played an off-the-bench role for the championship-calibre squad but still came out big with an average of 14.8 points, 4.3 assits and 2.3 rebouds in the Finals.
He attributes this kind of performance to the San Miguel culture he has slowly integrated himself in.
