Gilas downs Ivory Coast to cap off Spain bid

MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Pilipinas ended their Spain tuneup games on a high note after beating Ivory Coast, 73-63, at the Torneo de Malaga on Saturday (Sunday, Manila time).

The Nationals bounced back after losing to Congo Saturday, 71-82.
Robert Bolick once again led Gilas with 19 points while Andray Blatche chipped in 18.

Gilas cager Kiefer Ravena, who is still serving out his FIBA suspension, tweeted live updates of the game on his account.

Gilas Pilipinas will leave Spain with a 3-1 record.

They are set to return to the Philippines and make final preparations before the FIBA World Cup tips off in China on August 31.
