MANILA, Philippines — ONE: Dawn of Heroes on Friday wasn't the best of nights for famed Baguio-stable Team Lakay, with only one fighter in Danny Kingad emerging victorious in five outings.

Eduard Folayang, Honorio Banario, Geje Eustaquio and Edward Kelly all fell to their respective foes in front of a huge Filipino crowd at the Mall of Asia Arena last night.

But Coach Mark Sangiao remains confident they can recover despite the 1-4 record because his fighters are no stranger to adversity.

"This is not the first time we experienced cases like this. Before, we experienced [a] 0-5 [night]. We will be back again... I know we will be back better and stronger," Sangiao said at the post-fight press conference.

Earlier this year, Team Lakay also faced a tough stretch where they lost all four world title belts in quick succession from January to March.

As of now, Joshua Pacio remains the only Team Lakay fighter to have regained his belt.

Despite the struggles, Team Lakay standout Folayang left parting words to last night's press conference that are full of promises of a comeback.

"We shall return," Folayang said.
