‘Bakbakan’ goes to Rizal, Bicol

MANILA, Philippines — The Bakbakan Early Bird 9-Stag Derby, a P10-million nationwide event organized by the International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders Associations (FIGBA), goes to Rizal and Bicol region today.

Rizal competition gets going at the Blue Mountain Sports Arena in Antipolo with 70 confirmed entries. Rizal Gamecock Breeders Association president Rey Directo (RGBA), announced 2-stag elims today, Aug. 2 and 16, 3-stag semis on Aug. 20 and 4-stag finals on Aug. 31.

Members of the Camarines Gamefowl Breeders Association (CGBA), meanwhile, compete in the 2-stag qualifying round at the New Iriga City Sports Complex.
