Pacquiao in US for Thurman fight press tour

MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao will begin drumming up his welterweight title showdown with Keith Thurman, arriving in the US over the weekend with his entourage for a two-city press tour.

Pacquiao, the WBA “regular” welterweight titlist, will get to size up Thurman, the sanctioning organization’s “super champion,” for the first time during a presser Tuesday (Wednesday Manila time) at Gotham Hall in New York.

The two fighters will then head west to Los Angeles the next day for the second press conference, which will be held at The Beverly Hills Hotel.

Pacquiao and Thurman will clash on July 20 (July 19 Manila time), with the MGM Grand in Las Vegas as the likely venue.
