MANILA, Philippines — Age is just a number for 66-year old Filipina javelin great Erlinda Lavandia as she bagged four gold medals as well as the Best Athlete of Field Events award for Team Philippines in the Singapore Masters Athletics' 40th Anniversary Track and Field Tourney last weekend.

Lavandia competed in the women's 65-above category in the javelin event and bagged the top prize after besting athletes from Indonesia and Sri Lanka.

The Filipina also took the top prize in the discus, shot put and hammer competitions in the two-day trackfest.

Despite her age, Lavandia is still a force to be reckoned with.
