LAGUNA, Philippines — The search for a new head coach for marquee franchise Los Angeles Lakers continues with the team reportedly meeting with former NBA star and Milwaukee Bucks coach Jason Kidd on Monday (Tuesday Manila time).
ESPN Dave McMenamin reports that Kidd met with Lakers GM Rob Pelinka and Kurt Rambis for the coaching vacancy.

Kidd joins former Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue and 76ers assistant Monty Williams as potential replacements for Luke Walton, who was recently appointed Sacramento Kings coach.
Walton, who was sued for sexual assault earlier this week, was relieved of his coaching duties in LA after a mediocre 2018-2019 season that failed to get LeBron James and the rest of the team into the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have also fired head coach Igor Kokoskov and will challenge the Lakers in gunning for Williams, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
