Ateneo, La Salle pursue semis bonus

MANILA, Philippines — Semifinalists Ateneo and La Salle take on separate ousted foes, with their sights set on post-season ambitions as action resumes in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan today.

The pacesetting Lady Eagles saw their hot 10-game run snap as they dropped to their bitter foe, the Lady Spikers, for the second time this season, 17-25, 13-24, 23-25, last April 13.

They will try to avoid a first back-to-back skid, bent on snaring the twice-to-beat edge in the semis in their 4 p.m. clash with  the Adamson Lady Falcons.

At 2 p.m., the second-running Lady Spikers (9-3) look to tame the University of the East Lady Warriors to stay on track on their own twice-to-beat goal.
