Be My Guest Derby slated at Pasay
MANILA, Philippines — Pasay City Cockpit’s series of ‘Big Event’ cockfests this month climaxes Friday with the annual Be My Guest 5-Cock Derby bannered by more than 150 fights.
The summer blockbuster, spearheaded by PCC pit manager Gerald Go, had a total of 156 fights last year.
With the big field of entries expected, the total guaranteed prize is expected to reach P1.5 milion. Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000 will sponsor the event.
Meanwhile, the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) teamed up with 12 groups to stage the Building Bridges 6-Bullstag Derby on Apr. 1 and 5 at PCC.
Aside from LGBA, teams of Kapampangan Gamefowl Breeders Association, La Union Breeders and Cockers Club, Rizal Gamefowl Breeders Association, Quezon Breeders Club, United Manila Cavite GBA, Tarlac group of Rep. Vic Yap, Sagupaan, Excellence, Experto, King Slasher, Thor and Bulacan Breeders Club will compete.
