LGBA derby champ known today

MANILA, Philippines — The first leg champion (7-cock derby) of the 2019 Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) Cocker of the Year series will be known today at the Pasay Cockpit.

All set to compete in today’s 4-cock grand finals backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000 are 75 qualifiers (11 3-pointers, one 2.5 pointer, 33 2-pointers,  six 1.5 pointers, and 24 1-pointers).

More than P1.3 million in prizes await the winners because of the big number of entries, said LGBA president Nick Crisostomo.

Second leg (7-bullstag derby) of the LGBA series unfolds on Mar.11, 18 and 25 followed by the final leg (Encuentro 5 -bullstag derby) on April 12.

Meanwhile, Pasay Cockpit’s next ‘Big Event’ special is slated on March  1 with more than 120 fights –  the Tiger Shark and NML San Luis 6-Cock Derby  of engineer Celso Salazar and Tony Lasala.

PCC had 171 fights two weeks ago via the Bulldog Big Event 6-Cock Derby.
