Kristina Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Go For Gold-College of Saint Benilde goes all out after a disappointing opening day loss as it tangles with St. Clare College-Virtual Reality in the mainer of a tripleheader in the PBA D-League at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig today.

The Scratchers, eyeing a second straight title after ruling last year’s Foundation Cup, stumbled against the sweet-shooting Cignal-Ateneo, 75-103, last Thursday but will try to get their act together in their 4 p.m. meet with the Saints.

Metropac-San Beda and Perpetual Help tangle at 2 p.m. while The Masterpiece-Trinity University of Asia and Wangs Basketball face off in the 12 p.m. curtain-raiser.

Go For Gold-CSB struggled on offense early against the Blue Eagles but still drew a 21-point output from Justin Gutang.

In the other match, Nigerian slotman Donald Tankoua, James Canlas, Clint Doliguez and AC Soberano will banner the Movers of eight-time D-League champion coach Boyet Fernandez as they begin their quest against the Altas who are also seeking a strong start behind Edgar Charcos, Kim Aurin, Tonton Peralta, Keith Pido and transferee big man Ben Adamos, who will be ranged against his former team.
