11 entries show way in LGBA cockfest
MANILA, Philippines — After two elimination rounds of the 2019 Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) Cocker of the Year series at Pasay Cockpit (Feb. 15 and 18), 11 entries took the lead with three wins each so far.
These are Triple J Farms 101 ACT CIS (Jervy Maglunob), Sinagtala (Edwin Tan), Jubilum (Joven/Jess Mateo), JL SPC (John Lasco), WWW (Alan Chan), RLC Warriors (Rico Calicdan), Franzopia (Hermie Pagtalunan ), Big R Farm (Buddy Robrigado and Kenneth Liao), Pleasant Drive (Joey Sevilla), Lightning Blade Alex (Aristotle Aguirre) and Keith Aris Hot CT 151(Custer Tiu).
Hector Magpantay (HGM Rancheros) posted 2.5 points while 33 others have two points each, six with 1.5 points and 24 with one point.
Backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, the LGBA first leg (7 -cock derby) resumes Feb. 22 with more than 100 fights in the grand finals.
The “Tiger Shark and NML San Luis Big Event 6-Cock Derby” comes next at PCC on March 1 with engineer Celso Salazar and Tony Lasala as hosts.
Meanwhile, new members of LGBA from the islands of Catanduanes, Oriental Mindoro and Palawan are qualified to join the 2019 LBC Cup (starts on July 12), now with a bigger prize of P9 million.
