Joel Embiid trolls T'wolves after blowout win
MANILA, Philippines — Tuesday's (Wednesday, Manila Time) matchup in Philly marked Butler's first showdown with his former team; and with the Sixers' 149-107 victory, 'The Process' just couldn't help teasing his opponents.
Joel Embiid took to instagram after the win, posting a picture of him in-game with a caption that is all too familiar for his teammate Jimmy Butler.
"It was an honor to be part of the 3rd stringers and get a win against real NBA starters #TheProcess" Embiid's post read.
The Sixer poked fun at Butler's former team, referring to the time when his teammate had stormed into the Wolves' practice in October 2018, three weeks after Butler requested for a trade.
Butler had been unhappy with the Timberwolves' organization, from the management down to his teammates.
He apparently took some third-stringers and challenged the team's starters to a scrimmage during practice. The All-Star guard ended up winning against Minnesota stars Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins, who had the rest of the regulars on their squad.

Embiid led the Sixers with 31 points while Butler did a bit of everything against his former squad, finishing with 19 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.
The 76ers are set to face the Indianna Pacers next on Thursday (Friday, Manila Time).
