MANILA, Philippines — Like most fight fans, Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao did not find Floyd Mayweather’s 136-second demolition of a Japanese kickboxer entertaining at all.

Pacquiao was not amused.

“Small guy,” Pacquiao quipped after a morning workout at Griffith Park, referring to Tenshin Nasukawa, who fought Mayweather on New Year’s Eve in Saitama, Japan.

It was scheduled for three rounds of three minutes each – under boxing rules. But the fight did not last after the 20-year-old Japanese was floored three times.

Nasukawa, who stands five feet four inches, never stood a chance. In the end, he was in tears, saying he underestimated the 41-year-old Mayweather.

The Sun, a tabloid newspaper in the United Kingdom, called the fight a “farce.” Others labeled it as a fix.

Mayweather, a big spender, boasted that he earned $9 million for the exhibition match.

Pacquiao posted his comment on Twitter.

“Here’s an early New Year’s resolution. To continue to only fight experienced opponents who are my size or bigger,” said the 40-year-old WBA welterweight champion.

On Jan. 19, Pacquiao puts his belt on the line in Las Vegas against American Adrien Broner, a 29-year-old former champion in four weight classes.

Broner is Pacquiao’s size.

Pacquiao, who knocked out Argentina’s Lucas Matthysse last July, is trying to lure Mayweather into a rematch of their record-smashing 2015 showdown.

He’s hoping that an impressive show against Broner might do it. But Mayweather spoke in Saitama, saying he’s retired and is “not looking forward to coming back to boxing.

“But, you know, I did this just to entertain the fans in Japan. They wanted this to happen over here in Japan, so I said why not. So, once again, I’m still retired. I’m still 50-0,” he said.

Last September, Mayweather announced he was fighting Pacquiao in a rematch. He has changed his mind.

“That’s his prerogative to say that,” he told Boxing News.
