Petron blitzes F2 in SuperLiga Game 1

MANILA, Philippines — Petron stamped its class on rival F2 Logistics in straight sets, 25-23, 25-11, 25-17 to close in on a perfect campaign and back-to-back Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference crowns last night at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Blaze Spikers took a little while to get warmed up, trailing by 11-19 in the first set, but once they got going, they were simply unstoppable in the opening match of the best-of-three finals series.

Petron, now unbeaten in 13 games this tournament, can wrap it up with another victory on Tuesday.

“Ganda ng pinakita ng team, nakakaproud. Sobrang gusto nila manalo, medyo slow start kami noong first set, buti naka-recover,” said Petron coach Shaq delos Santos.
